| - I have watched Wahlburgers, the TV show in the first season and so when I was looking for a lunch spot and saw that it was close by, I decided to check it out.
The venue is in what appears to be a new, upcoming location for dining and shopping - The Block. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor and is large, open, and airy. The color scheme is green and Black.
They had just opened for lunch and I was greeted and seated very quickly. My waitress, Christine, was extremely friendly and pleasant. She asked if I'd been here before and when I told her that I had not, she proceeded to go through the menu with me and explained the quality and type of meat used in the burgers. She then took my drink order while I made up my mind.q
I decided to try the sloppy joe. I'm sorry that I didn't try the Wahlburgers. It's not that the Sloppy Joe was bad, it just did not suit my taste. I think it might have been the addition of the cheese sauce and the Wahl sauce that was a bit off putting. I also prefer my Sloppy Joe on a bun instead of a slice of bread - but that's just me. The Thin Crispy Onion Rings were just that! They were hot and full of flavor, however, the house made pickles were a bit sharp tasting for me and I did not enjoy them. Beneath all of the stuff on top of the Sloppy Joe, the quality of the meat was excellent. Next time, I'll try their burger.
I don't know about the other servers, but Christine was great. She made the experience worth my trip even though I was overwhelmed with the flavor of the food.
