  • Overpriced with average food. $93 market price for a 12oz Australian lobster tail? I buy these tails from a wholesaler and Donovan's is smoking crack to think it's ok to more than double market price on their menu...or maybe the customers paying that much are the crack smokers? $23 for the shrimp cocktail (4 shrimp)? The steaks were tasty and, based on some unseared coloration on a portion of my steak, apparently cooked and held sous vide. The sides were awful. The garlic smashed potatoes were absolute garlic bombs (and I love garlic). The plain and boring au gratin potatoes were just not good. The asparagus was undercooked and, scarily enough, inconsistent from piece to piece (cooked at different times?). The ambience is very nice and service seemed great. That said, this is a restaurant for expense account holders and that's about it. If you have a sous vide cooker at home and any skill in the kitchen, you'd have a pretty tough time to cook a worse meal for 1/4 the price. Would not return and cannot recommend.
