rev:text	I can see why my friend picked this place to celebrate one last reunion with friends before he leaves the country for 2 years. It's a big pub and has a private section that can be reserved. It also looks like it also sometimes has live bands, which is a cool idea. There were a lot of reasons why it didn't work out well. The place was clubbing loud, which is acceptable for a club but not a bar. I like a good chat with my beer, thank you very much. It also took over 1 hour for me to get my food, and then I had to chase the waitress down for some cutlery. I asked for a discount, she wasn't apologetic. Then about half an hour later, a man in a cheap suit comes up to me and asks about me... I was a little confused about who he was and whether he was hitting on me. I almost introduce myself thinking he was another guest at the party, but realized that he was the manager. The manager kindly offered me free dessert or 5%? off my bill? I wasn't sure because it was so damn loud! I accepted the discount. He said, "sure, the free dessert then?". I rolled my eyes. Here's some business tips for Fionn MacCool's: - Unless there's a live band playing, the music shouldn't be clubbing loud! A good conversation with beer is a good combo. - Don't take 1.5 hours to bring out pub food, there's nothing gourmet about it, it shouldn't take that long - Give your waiters and waitresses enough say to give a customer a discount, especially when they mess up - By the time the manager has to come out to deal with the issue, just waive the whole bill, come'on guys... and what kind of discount is 5%? That's just embarassing.
