  • This is my first online review. Started poorly. Our Pick up time from the MGM Grand was scheduled for 6:15 am. We were at the the meeting location at 6:11 am. At 6:30 AM still waiting for the pick up. I called the office and they said that We missed the bus. I said that we were out there at the correct time. They suggested to grab a cab and come to their main office which we did. We checked in and I asked to speak to a supervisor. I explained the situation to him and he said that we were late for the bus and the bus left the hotel at 6:15. I told him that I learned to tell time back in the second grade and we were NOT late. He finally agreed to give me my cab fare back-which in our minds was the right thing to do. We get on the bus and it left at 7am. Dirk our driver was was very friendly. Told us the history and facts about the locations that we were passing through. Now here where the trip got interesting. We made a pit stop at a Macdonald's. Not only our bus but the three other buses making the same trip that day. You can imagine 200 or so people coming into the restaurant at the same time. We walked across the parking lot to a gas station with a grocery store in it. No wait for the bathroom and plenty of goodies to chose from. From there we got back on the bus to the next stop which was for lunch. Again 4 buses arrived almost at the same time. Again 200 or so people waiting on line for the buffet lunch. The food was acceptable (Mostly Mexican food). Then back on the bus and onto the Grand Canyon. They put a movie on for that leg of the trip. I would of preferred seeing some type of documentary about the Canyon. The Grand Canyon was spectacular. We spent approx 3 hours there. I really wanted more. Next time for that. On the way home-Dirk the bus driver wanted to be the lead bus so when we made our dinner stop (which was on us) that we would be the first bus to arrived. We stopped at a Carl Jr. fast food restaurant. Dirk said that they knew 4 buses would be arriving and that the restaurant would be ready . Boy was he wrong. Again 200 people arriving approx the same time and the employees of the restaurant were not ready. The scene was pretty bad. (I also notice that the bus drivers avoided the line and got their food quickly) I gotta believe that the tour firm is getting a awesome kick back from these restaurants. Why can't they split up the places they go to???? 4 buses-maybe 2 different restaurant stops or someplace with a food court? Now this is where the real fun begins. On our way back to Vegas-the bus we were on - started "to lose power-. Slower and slower. The bus had to stop 4 times to "reboot". Dirk the driver tried to call in for support. No answer from the tour company. He then started to talk out loud about how bad the buses were maintained. (not a professional thing to do) We did make it back-and we were dropped off at our hotel.
