  • I originally had an appointment scheduled at Red9ine with (Mike H. Mullaney). I am not sure how the other artists operate although I would NOT suggest you book with him AT ALL! I should have gone with my gut. When I first scheduled an appointment with him he called me into the room where he was inking someone else and was half listening to what I was saying (unprofessional to say the least). I scheduled the appointment with Mike 2 months in advance and he said that he would have my tattoo ready for review 1 week before my appointment. That time came and nothing was sent. Two days before my scheduled appointment he responds to my email advising that he was busy although he would get it out to me. The night before my appointment I still did not receive the design so I cancelled the appointment and advised Mike that I will be coming in to collect my deposit. No apologies...nothing at all. He also mentioned that they operate strictly on a Cash basis which is fine although what was shocking to me is that they charge tax and don't provide an official receipt??? I don't mind paying tax although issue me a receipt. My assumption is that they are charging tax and pocketing the money as a tip... I wonder if the Government Revenue Agency is aware. Perhaps and audit will wake them up. This was a complete waste of my time! For all those reading this review, do yourself a favour go to a reputable tattoo shop. All you have to do is Google "Top Tattoo shops in Toronto" and you'll get a list. I ended up booking an appointment with Passage located on Church street...they got amazing reviews and my experience with them so far has been very positive...very professional! It's not a good sign when you Google Red9ine and all you see is 1 review from 2011 that was probably written by the owner of the shop! I hope this helps you make the right decision!
