  • Dr. Tarter was the first vet my dog saw. I'll never forget the first time we met him - he immediately got on the floor with our puppy and played with him. We have recommended Dr. Tarter to other friends who were looking for a vet. They thanked us profusely for introducing them. Dr. Tarter clearly loves animals - and I would highly recommend him to anyone in the greater Pittsburgh area looking for a veterinarian. On a subsequent visit, after examining our dog, Dr. Tarter asked our dog if he was ready for his shots, and our dog gleefully trotted out of the exam room after Dr. Tarter, clearly pleased to be with him. This is a mark of a good vet - someone your dog would happily follow around.
