rev:text	I signed up for internet about 6 months ago. The lady on the phone told me the price would be 33 a month plus tax and nonsense fees for their Essential package. I gladly signed up. Everything was fine until I opened my bill today. It went up to 47 dollars with a message that it was going to be going up to $52.99. Who the f#%$ pays that for mediocre internet? I called them up to see why the bill went up so much. The representative tells me that it is because I had a promotional price given to me. I told them I was not told of any promotion, I was just told this was the price. Round and round with no resolve. I was told I wasn't in a contract (thank God) but because I wasn't in a contract the price can change whenever the market changes. Apparently the market changed. No warning, no advanced notice was given....the price just raises. You know how much money this company makes doing these shady practices?.....tons. And they don't care if you are dissatisfied. I also signed up for cable tv. The man on the phone said $48.99 for a year no contract. I was also told during this same phone conversation that it is only for 3 months. If I had known it was only for 3 months I would have never signed up for it. The sales rep told me one year, and I even repeated the deal and he agreed. But alas it is only for 3 months and Cox suckers will not honor the deal. They said they don't have such promotion. If you have to deal with these jerks get it in writing before you agree. I will be sending them all of there garbage back and they can keep there service for the next sucker. NEVER AGAIN COX. LIARS and THIEVES.
