We came here the day before NYE as we were planning to have dinner here at this casino at the Ping, Pang, Pong restaurant plus play midnight bingo at their most popular spot on the second floor for New Years Eve night.
The casino itself is older but decent. We had picked up club cards here but the line took Forever! We passed by the gift shop pretty much as it had tons of Xmas decorations on sale at 50%. Why not 75%??? I saw that they had an ice cream/coffee/croissant area but said to myself tomorrow not today!
We went to the second floor to purchase bingo playing for the special NYE midnight play. It was somewhat costly but you're talking to someone who rarely gambles. I actually chose to do that bc I wanted to spend it with the fam. You see my mother is 96 years old and it's not too often we get together for these occasions. It was coincidental that my sister and I planned to be in Vegas at the same time.
Normally my HB and I would have enjoyed a show or go
to a nightclub for dancing for NYE. We thought it would be best to do what my mother could do but play bingo. Who knows what the future will bring?
So the next day was NYE. We came to eat, shop, have dessert ( ice cream was yummy!) plus play midnight bingo with the fam at the Gold Coast. It's a huge big deal for many people to come to this event here. We met some nice people around us; one guy did win one bingo there but he had placed some big money initially. I saw that this one couple not far from us won three times!!! You know they probably had numerous cards.
Bingo was fun. My neighbor Tony assisted me big time as I was a novice at it plus it was normally past our bedtime that I was literally falling asleep. Even our new friend Roy noticed me nodding off!
They served drinks, a huge buffet meal consisted of Italian and Mexican food plus there were party favors to bring in the new year 2015. The television screens overhead showed what was going on down at the Vegas strip plus included the countdown of the end of 2014 to the beginning of 2015! Balloons came down at that point to celebrate the fun festivity of the new year 2015.
It was quite a nice celebration with the fam that we will never forget! Bring 2015 on!!! We aren't sure if we will be back; maybe not during the wintry season as it snowed earlier in the day!
