5 stars Office personnel, 2 stars to the Rheumatologist Doctor Taherian. See detail below.
First, this location is not open. She moved from Las Vegas to Henderson January 2017 and in 2018 she is moving to California. This review is for her Henderson location.
Positives: DR Taherian was fantastic at quickly filling and setting up delivery of much needed scripts. She does listen to what I say and is empathetic to my limitations caused by my condition. When I needed a steroid shot her office staff got me in the same day and rarely do doctors offices actually follow through with calling a patient that is on the cancelation list but her staff did and I'm ever so grateful. Reception and nurses are always so very nice and helpful and the doctor is very punctual. Office was always clean and well organized.
Negatives: the doctor however, I'm sorry to say that there are several negatives.
- It took almost 3 months to get established as a new patient but that is typical for a Rheumatologist.
-One months into my treatment I got a letter in the mail announcing that she was moving from Las Vegas to Henderson within a few weeks. I adjusted to the 45-90minute commute each way but was never please.
-She is one of those people that talks with her eyes closed. I don't know why people do that but it's rather unsettling when conversing with a doctor that won't open their eyes.
-It took 3 calls in 2 hours to after-hours-emergency to the doctors answer service before she finally returned my call regard an emergency allergy to medication.
-When I asked what to do about my vomiting from medication, she said she couldn't do anything. I had to proactively ask for her to call out dissolving nausea medication. Rather annoyed it wasn't offered as temporary solution.
-A separate time I called about an infection and was told she doesn't know anything about infections to that body location. I Should have been told to stop TNF medication until wound healed.
-Upon my last visit she told me that in less than a month she would be moving to California and her staff could give me a list of doctors I can call to try to get in and see instead, although it was not guaranteed they accepted my insurance or new patients.
Based on the location, lack of feeling I'm treated by a knowledgeable doctor and how she sprung moving on me twice, I'm not displeased that I'll be treated by a new Rheumatologist soon. I'll miss the excellent staff but not the doctors treatment.
