  • my cat needed an amputation of his tail, we brought him in and after waiting almost 3 hours we finally saw a vet. They estimated us $1,300 for surgery. not including medication or bloodwork. Then they added, "it could be more." ???? They charged $50 just to see the vet. and they didn't even attempt to bandage his bleeding tail or try to clean it up. They told us "you cat will die if you don't get this surgery." it was maybe an inch of his tail that needed to be removed. They tried to charge us $100 for a shot that depends on the weight of the animal. So we got that shot at a different vet for $70 which was Family Vetcare of Chandler, where they cleaned up his tail, bandaged it, and quoted us with a detailed invoice of the broken down costs. Less than $700 total including medications, surgery, and bloodwork. They were so sweet to both us and our cat. I will never be returning to arizona wellness, and never will i put my animals through the torture of being in their presence ever again. A shame.
