| - I've been going here since the beginning of June 2015. My child has taken an art class during the summer, and takes dance now here weekly. While she is in a class there, I'll walk either on the indoor track, or outdoors around the facility. This place is a really varied, mixed bag of activities. There are tons of classes for children and adults, there are places that are adults only (which is nice when kids are screaming, as those walls do echo), indoor track, indoor exercise facilities, indoor/outdoor pool, and an indoor basketball court (and it is indeed used daily). Just a ton of offerings. I've seen classes for young adults with development issues, with transportation provided. I wish I could take the adult water aerobic classes, but they take place right when I'm transporting my student to school in the mornings. They have cooking classes for young and old. It really is a well-oiled machine of activity for all.
I've seen complaints about parking here on Yelp, and that honestly is such a non-issue, it's not even funny. If you want a front row parking space, then you will ALWAYS be sorely disappointed. They have a main parking lot, a secondary parking lot, parking at the library less than a quarter of a block away, as well as parking at the pavilion, which is *maybe* 1/2 a block. May I remind folks that this is primarily an Exercise/Fitness Facility? Perhaps one might need to walk a half a block to get to the facility, but isn't that part of exercise? With all of our fitness apps, wouldn't we WANT to get more steps in and more exercise? I had forgotten to rate this center, and stumbled upon Yelp and found complaints about parking, and was just shocked. Seriously folks, get off your rears and walk a bit. (Tip: get there prior to 4:45PM, and you'll find parking in the main parking lot)
Overall, this is a great facility. Henderson really knows how to put together a great public facility, and it shows with this place.
