  • When it's dinner time in Madison, your options are endless. My brother mentioned this place so we thought we would give it a try! Almost everything on their menu is made in house, including sauces and pickles. Atmosphere: The restaurant is very small with not much seating. It creates a very cozy, lively atmosphere but also not a great place for groups bigger than 4. Food: We split an order of cheese curds, sweet potato fries, and regular fries. The cheese curds were what you expect in Wisconsin. Gooey cheese and lightly battered. The French fries we average. They didn't have much flavor to them. The sweet potato fries were my favorite. They were very crunchy and lightly fries. For the entree I split the wedge salad and the gambler burger with my dad. We paid extra for bacon on a wedge - which typically comes with bacon, and they were only a few crumbs. It was disappointing. Our gambler burger was tiny. The meat to bun ratio was basically only bun. The patty was the size of a culvers patty. Again our burger said it was "loaded with bacon" and there was only one strip. The burger didn't have much flavor and was very pricy given its size and the fact that it doesn't come with a side. For dessert my brother had a vanilla malt. They use an old fashioned malt mixer when they make their malts. It was very good!
