We've stayed at several places on the strip and I can honestly say our visit at the Delano ranks high up there and in my opinion is one of the nicest options on the strip. The service at check in was superb, the staff on the casino floor was fast and the drinks were made very well, and last but not least, the rooms were impeccable. We really felt spoiled by the great service and room during our stay. As far as the casino, we felt the crowd was the best part. It seemed like by being a little further away that there was a classier environment vs other casinos in the heart of the strip which added to the enjoyment we experienced at the Delano/Mandalay Bay.
On a side note, I think some of the reviews are ridiculous. Location should not determine the stars - perhaps folks should have looked at a map. And to base a review on the $5.00 keurig cup is also a stretch. Is there anything in Vegas that does not cost at least $5.00? I thought it was actually nice to have the option to use their coffee or to bring your own k-cups.
I just felt like the friendliness of the staff members went above and beyond the typical staff at any of the other hotels we've stayed at on the strip. For comparison sake, I'd pick the Delano over the Wynn grading on both rooms, location and staff. I choose Wynn because we felt the Wynn was at the top for luxury.
Delano raised the bar of expectations and we will definitely be back!!
