Can't believe I haven't reviewed this restaurant yet! I was probably trying to keep it all for myself! We are regulars here and can honestly say this is as fresh as you will get in the Phoenix area. Yasu flies most of his fish in from Japan & the quality of the dishes is apparent at first indulgent bite . Brian is usually our server and he always has great suggestions of what to try. On our last visit we had the Wakasagi tempura ( delicately fried small fish), tomato and edamame tempura , truffle mushroom soup, Asari miso, soft-shell crab & shimeji tempura , snake shiitake tapas, bistro green beans tapas & the trout carpaccio . Each of these dishes were more bright, fresh and delicious than the next. Yasu always has nightly specials and fresh selections and carpaccios ( our favorite) . If you haven't visited this sushi restaurant, give it a go... It's in a hidden spot in Paradise Valley, near the breakfast place" Oink." Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
