This place is a must try. It's definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. Located in a small business center on the SE corner of Jones and Robindale, you will wonder why it's not located somewhere in Chinatown or closer to the strip!
It appears to be owned and operated by a family and they really show it with their politeness and smiles when you enter in and as you dine in. The kind of service they provide couldn't be any better. They have about 6 tables (can sit 4 each) and a bar top at the end of the restaurant that is right next to the kitchen.
At the table, there are empty bowls provided along with a sesame grinder so that you can grind some sesame seeds and pour some katsu sauce in after. It's almost a tradition for me to do that while I wait for my food to arrive! Depending on what you order will determine if you would need it. Even if what I order already has sauce (like the curry) I still grind some sesame seeds and use some katsu sauce on some occasional bites!
My favorite dishes:
-Tori Katsu Dinner (Chicken Katsu Cutlet) which include: Chicken katsu laid on a raised metal grate so that it doesn't get soggy, some finely shredded cabbage on the side, along with rice, and a side of miso soup.
-Chicken Katsu Curry which includes: Chicken Katsu laid above a serving of curry that has potatos and carrots, and rice.
-Katsu Donburi which I substitute the pork for chicken, but it is a wonderful serving of Chicken katsu served above a bowl of rice mixed with egg, sauce, and some onions.
-Chicken Karaage (Japanese fried chicken) for appetizer
The Katsu is always breaded and cooked to perfection. Quality of food mixed with their courteous service makes this place an A+ in my book.
