| - This is probably the best buffet we had in vegas while we were there. We decided to go on a weekday so that there'll be less if a line which worked out quite nicely! Arrived at 10:45 and there were only a group of 8 people in front of us, hardly a line, AND because we got to the cash 5 minutes before 11AM we ended up paying the breakfast price for the lunch menu. They have a 2hr sitting rule where they expect you to finish eating within 2 hours, which is very do-able, but don't worry, they don't kick you out if you don't leave immediately after 2 hours. We stayed for about 2.5 hours and nobody said anything.
Now for the food, compared to other buffets, this one probably has the most variety, and my parents definitely enjoyed the vast choices of Asian dishes which were pretty well made. The other thing they loved, the crab (and various other seafoods). Although to be honest, the crab at Bellagio was better, but this was still pretty awesome. For those of you who love comfort food there are delicious Mac and cheeses, mini burgers, fried chicken, wings etc which were also pretty fantastic, though if you have a bird stomach like me I wouldn't suggest those choices cause they'll fill you up real fast and you hadn't even gotten to the sushi table yet.
There was a lot of food and I had to make 3 different rounds before I actually made my way through the entire selection (and that's not counting the dessert round). That said, it's very nice that they do make small portions, very delicately presented in tiny bowls/dishes/baskets, unless it's the one you portion yourself. Which I appreciated, so that I don't over indulge in any one item.
There's also a juice bar with a variety of juices, some of them are just Snapple I'm pretty sure, but there were a few that were fresh juices (like fresh watermelon juice yum!)
The dessert table is a bit smaller than the one at the wicked spoon, but it still offers a pretty good variety.
The service was also pretty good, dishes were cleared very quickly and you never even see them taking them away! (So watch out of you're not done your dish yet!)
The décor is also very contemporary and comfortable. Nothing to complain about. The bathrooms are outside of the actual eating area though so it was a little confusing at first trying to find it.
All in all good food, good experience, just try to plan a way that you don't have to wait 2 hours to go in... weekdays, or go a little early and just have an early meal, you'll be holding your belly for the rest of the day anyway!
