Elver park was always our go-to sledding hill in my Madison youth. As soon as snow hit the ground, tush hit the sled, & Elver came alivveeeee! The hill there is super steep--sure to thrill kiddos and parents alike.
Because of its thrill and popularity, however, it can be a dangerous drop. It gets really crowded and congested in the winter so I'm always sure to scurry out of the way of reckless sledders at the bottom. The last time I went, one of my friends hit either a manmade snow jump or another sledder on the way down and ended up with a pretty gnarly concussion. Pretty unavoidable but something to be careful of.
