| - Pleasantly surprised with the entire visit! From the initial greeting, to our seating, feeding, and leaving. It was a wonderful place to hold an intimate celebration for yours truly. Plus, the wine list is amazing and well priced. Shhh.
Our hostess was a lifesaver that evening. Although we had reservations, the allocated table wasn't going to work for a
6' 2" boy in his prime fighting weight. Without hesitation the words "no problem" was music to my ears. After being reseated, Giuseppe our excellent waiter was at the helm. He was attentive and made sure our visit was remarkable. And it was!
We began with a bottle of 2010 Margaux wine along with Foie Gras and Beef Carpaccio. The portions were quite large on both counts. Delicious and well plated.
The Foie Gras had a perfect texture and wonderful reduction sauce.
Carpaccio was fresh and plentiful(see photo) I love that they place a generous amount of arugula, capers and cheese; makes for a superb appetizer!
We ordered a Wedge Iceberg salad and Giuseppe split this for us without asking! How cool is that?!
The Wagyu Tomahawk 40oz was the hit of the evening. The aroma and tenderness upon the first bite, hooks you into heaven. Although large and plenty for two, next time I'm getting my own. That's a testament of how scrumptious and well seasoned it was!
Asparagus were a bit weak but we still ate and enjoyed them. All together, the savory part of the meal was spectacular.
Which leads us to a beautifully arranged dessert. (Please see photo) I was very grateful to Mastro's for my Birthday dessert as the fluffiness and taste of the cake made for a perfect ice cream accompaniment. And...whipped cream on top! Delicious!!
It all made for a great evening and a place for us to return as regulars and not just for special occasions. The atmosphere, service, and excellent price point is fabulous, begging for return visits.
Valet parking right in front is super convenient and courteous.
Try for yourself and see what you think. Thanks for reading. =)
