My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this after realizing the original place we wanted to check out (vegetarian haven) was closed between 3-5pm.
What a treat! Frequenters of dive bars and cheap pubs (student budgets) we weren't expecting much and ended up pleasantly surprised!
Firstly the decor was awesome and I actually felt like I was in an authentic English pub without it being too overdone.
The amount of beers they have on tap was overwhelming!
Service was super friendly. Our server was finishing up his shift but rather than rush us out, he offered to let us pay what we'd ordered so far and the next server could carry the rest of our drinks.
Food was great. Boyfriend had a grilled veggie wrap with fries & I just had their soup of the day and a side of fries but from the looks of it we'll definitely be back to try some more of their authentic pub food. My cream of mushroom was seriously out of this world. It was /real/ homemade soup and none of that Campbell's stuff. Another server offered to bring me bread when she saw I just had soup.
We had gotten there a little after 4, and the place was fairly empty when we got in. But by 5:30 it was starting to become packed, and for a Wednesday night that was cool to see.
An all round awesome, unexpected experience & will definitely be back!
