| - I went in to Veraldi's today for a hair-cut. In short, I highly recommend this salon.
Like Beth, I'm a busy graduate student. As graduation nears and families fly in from out-of-town for ceremony, I had become acutely aware of impending socializing with individuals not yet desensitized to my hobo-esque exterior. Wishing to amend, at least in part, my social awkwardness, I thought it best to get a trim. Note that my hair had not been touched by scissor or stylist in more than a year.
After cycling through a hoary horde of hair pictures online and polling every contact with two (or at least one and a half) X chromosomes, I came to Veraldi's with little more than a pixelated, estrogen-blurred idea of what I might have done. The salon had been recommended by a friend--whose hair is adorable. Susan, whose aesthetic sense will never go out of style, managed to turn my mop into something. And not just ANY something. A PRETTY something--a something worth of not just approval, but approbations. It looks fantastic!
Just the facts:
--The salon is established--it's been around for decades.
--The shop is clean, cozy, and quaint.
--The staff is friendly, welcoming and not pushy (you know how some stylists push product on you? Doesn't happen here--they introduce you to some awesome stuff, but don't hassle you).
--The hair cuts are wonderful and affordable.
In conclusion, five stars is not enough.
