| - They ripped me off. I was in a bad car accident on my move here. My truck was totaled by a careless driver. I go in to rent a car, and they tell me, "Oh, if the accident wasn't your fault, you need to get full coverage insurance, all that we have. Anytime someone is in an accident that isn't their fault, they always get the full coverage because they other guy's insurance will pay for it. You are in a new city in a strange car, so if they have to pay for it, why not get it." I get a call from Enterprise about a week after I turn in the car telling me that the insurance went through, but I owe $150 for the extra insurance that I purchased, because the other guy's insurance does not cover that.
Right, maybe I shouldn't have believed them, but I was just in a bad accident, and not thinking clearly, and that is not when a business should take advantage of someone. I went there and told them what they told me and they knocked $100 off. They still charged me $50 for something that one of their guys told me wrong about. They said they provided me a service and had to charge me something. There was no gray area in what they told me: "Anytime someone is in an accident that isn't their fault, they ALWAYS get full coverage...the other guy's insurance WILL pay for it". They made no mention of it depending on what kind of insurance I already have, etc. etc. You don't tell people things that aren't true to make a sale and then charge them for it, especially when they are going through the aftermath of an accident.
