  • We were under contract on a house in Regent Square and hired Ed to do all of the relevant inspections (house, pest, and radon). Ed was responsive when I called to set up an appointment, and he was able to do the inspection within a week. We found his inspection to be thorough, and it revealed a lot of problems with the house (which ultimately led us to walk away from the deal). While his inspection was thorough, it lasted way too long because he writes the report during the inspection. While it is nice to have a report right away, there were long stretches of time where we had to sit and wait while he dictated the report. We were there for 4+ hours, but the actual inspection probably only took about 1.5 or 2 hours. Also, we found his report to be hard to follow -- there were garbled sentences and lots of "filler" text. It was hard to determine what were the serious issues and what were the minor ones. Ultimately, he got the job done, but I would have preferred a more easy-to-understand, streamlined report, and less time spent waiting at the house while he wrote it. Overall, I'd probably give him 3.5 stars.
