| - I was craving burgers one day and I remembered that I Love Burgers was on my bookmarks and how one of my friends used to talk about this place a lot, so I decided to come here for lunch... Located in Town Square, I Love Burgers offers a good selection of made-to-order burgers with some original creations on their menu that are worth taking a look at.
The interior was clean, and despite it being a little busy for the lunch rush, there was plenty of seating left. I also liked the chalkboard walls, which made it easy for my group and I to embrace our inner child and start doodling away while we waited for our food!
I had the Oregon Trail burger, which according to the menu, consisted of: ground buffalo, aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato, red onions, and a roasted garlic aioli all between whole wheat buns.
When my burger came, I was actually a little surprised at how small the patty was (even the tomato looked bigger than the actual burger patty)! Whatever... the aroma was tantalizing my senses so I just wanted to dig in!
The burger was cooked to a medium, so it really is juicy and filled with the savory flavor of the lean buffalo. The bun tasted a little dry, but I wasn't sure if the bun being whole wheat was what made it taste that way. The juiciness of the burger made up for the dry burger buns, so it wasn't that bad.
The sweet potato fries were not burnt and they have the perfect sweetness to make my tastebuds happy. I feel like they give you a lot of fries, but maybe the size of the burger makes the fries look like a bigger portion.
I like the little branding of the restaurant name on top of the burger bun (nice touch!). However, it wasn't enough to completely win me over.
From a place that specializes in burgers, I expected something more. I don't know if it was worth it because the burgers left me underwhelmed.
I Love Burgers, I dub thee... average.
