  • The wife and I just got back from our 10 year anniversary trip, Thursday through Sunday, we stay here every time that we come to Vegas and still really enjoy the Mirage. We booked our Tower Suite back in April for our trip and when we checked in I asked for either a pool, strip or volcano view but they told me that they were all sold out, even though we checked in at 1:00PM on Thursday and I'm pretty sure there were still plenty of people that still had to check in that day, so we got stuck with what they call ," A beautiful mountain view," which is actually a freeway view. So we get to our room and there is a big crack in one of the windows, about four feet long. It made my wife very uncomfortable being in that room so I went down to the front desk to tell them that my wife doesn't feel comfortable staying in that room but they said the best they can do is change our room the next day. So Friday comes along and still no other view room available just the freeway, but we change rooms and the bubbles in the tub in our new room don't work. It took four calls and 3 1/2 hours for someone to finally come up and fix it. All in all we still enjoy the Mirage and will continue to stay here. The pool is immaculate, very beautiful and relaxing, we enjoy the Paradise Cafe for lunch. Down side about the pool though is the new large drink cups, they use to have the nice plastic souvenir cups but they switched to these smaller cheap flimsy cups, and for $27 a drink you would think they could afford to have the nice ones still. My opinion about them saying they had no view rooms that I wanted available is that we booked the One Bedroom Tower Suite at such an amazing price is that they figured we should have the crappy view and give the better view to the other people who paid more, because they say that rooms are not assigned until you check in, so if we checked in at 1:00 PM I'm pretty sure not all strip, volcano and pool view would have been taken. One more thing, it is very stupid to have your view ruined by the Beatles banner that covers all the top floors which are the suites, you get nice big floor to ceiling windows and you can't see very well out the window because of it, so disappointing. The one star is solely for them not being able to accommodate our room change when I know they had other rooms available, even after they became aware of the big cracked window and we still had to wait until the next day. And the package we booked says $50 dining credit + VIEW ROOM UPGRADE. They also didn't apply the $50 credit until I looked at the bill and saw that it was not on there. It was just very disappointing, it was our Ten year wedding anniversary, we stay at the Mirage every time that we go to Vegas and they couldn't accommodate us, it really put a damper and a slow start to our celebration.
