Sooo good!
We stopped by on our way to fremont street from the strip. It was almost empty at the time (9:30 pm ish) but the place seemed clean and well kept. The lady that rang us up was super friendly and patient with us as we were not too familiar with the menu.
I got the carne asada and jamon y queso (ham & cheese) arepas with a guava and cheese pastelito for dessert and the passionfruit drink.
First off, these arepas are HUGE. I eat a lot, and 1 1/2 of these bad boys sure filled me up.
They're not skimpy on the fillings at all. It may not look like it at first glance, but these arepas are STUFFED to the brim. The carne asada was seasoned well, and there was this melty, gooey cheese literally spilling out of my ham and cheese arepa. My boyfriend gave me a bite of his Reina Pepiada and I really digged the avocado and cilantro sauce that it was cooked in.
I was a bit confused on the guava and cheese pastelito as they put a piece of actual cheese (think of almost like a squeaky mozarella cheese curd) needless to say, I was expecting cream cheese like they serve in Miami. But I'm familiar with cheese being dessert so it was interesting.
Whenever Im back in Vegas I will make sure to come back, so happy to have stumbled on this place!
