  • Haji Baba is the best Middle Eastern food I've had without question. The restaurant is located inside a small grocery store. It's always extremely busy for lunch, and during peak lunch hours the lines are literally out the door. Once seated the service is good and the staff is attentive. My favorite items on the menu are the Chicken Shawarma, Gyro Sandwich, Shish Kabob, Hummus and Pita Bread, and the Ice Tea is out of this world good too! As a testament to how good HB is, my wife even calls this place a favorite restaurant of hers. Now keep in mind, she's not very open minded when it comes to trying new foods. When I first brought her here several years ago she didn't even want to go inside based on the look of the place. I finally persuaded her to just give it a try, which was no small feat. The rest is history as she's now one of the biggest HB fans in the family if not the entire East Valley :). Excellent food, large portions, and inexpensive prices provide a triple benefit that's impossible to beat when you want Middle Eastern food.
