  • I love the Nat. I've been a member here on and off for years. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Upstairs, they do a great job at keeping random children off of the track, or anywhere else that they're not supposed to be. There's a bank of TVs in front of all of the cardio equipment, so my sister and I can catch up on House Hunters (how is it that i've never seen a repeat of that show? MINDBOGGLING) or NCIS, without the sound. Who needs a Kindle when you can just read tv shows while burning fat on the elliptical? I've taken up swimming again, and the pool area is great. It's rare when I can't get an open lane to do laps. It does burn my butt when there's a swim meet and I can't swim, though. My only real complaint is the weight area. Because it is almost always swarming with Muscle Dudes who will never ever let you use the machines, it's impossible for us to ever use this equipment. And I really really *want* to do weight training. We usually just use the machines upstairs in the circuit training area, but there are a few downstairs that i'd love to use. I also hate the 30 minute limit on the cardio equipment, but luckily that number is flexible when the gym is slower. The Nat is absolutely packed and crazy for the first two months of the year, but that's to be expected--silly Resolutionaries. Mondays are also especially busy. And the discount for residents is a good thing, too, so if you live in Cuyahoga Falls, remember to take a utility bill with you when you sign up. I've tried other gyms, and the Nat is always the one i've been more comfortable at. Sure, I could join Fitworks again and be able to use their machines for hours at a time, whenever I want. But the staff and most of the patrons at the Nat make me comfortable. At the Nat, you will never have a personal trainer hounding you, trying to sell their services, or feel like your bleach stained tee and highwater yoga pants make you underdressed.
