I was given a Burberry watch as a gift several years ago. I loved this watch. The clasp on the band broke and needed to be replaced. I visited the Burberry store at Scottsdale Fashion Square and requested they send it for repair or band replacement. I was fully aware it would not be a warranty issue but wanted the watch repaired.
To my dismay they basically refused. Stating that I needed to provide proof of purchase for a watch given to me several years ago made no common sense to me. I, it utter bewilderment asked again for them to even sell me the clasp. They again refused. So I turned to the Customer Service department at the company based in the UK. Sadly I received the same message. Essentially to bad Mr Customer. Won't help you. I cannot understand this policy. It makes. I sense and can't be good for business. I for one will urge you all to never buy from Burberry. Yes, if you buy in their store they will have record of your purchase however if you buy at a licensed retailer, forget about it. You are left hanging with no way to get your Burberry product repaired.
So let it be known, Burberry does not care about its customers. They could care less that you would be a return customer with a little "Customer Service". They have no desire to rectify such a simple request that this Customer was so willing to pay for. Never again will I buy anything from them and my wife is getting rid of her 3 Burberry handbags.
What a joke this company is.
