I have been with United Pet Care for over 10 years. I have taken my dogs to the same Vet all that time, but there was just a turn over in the office and we have a new Vet. Well, our dog got sick and the Vet just kept ordering different tests and racking up the bills, and our dog got sicker. So I decided to find another Vet that is actually helping us with our dog. She was in on a Friday and they scheduled the surgery on Monday. I contacted United Pet Care to see if the new Vet was going to be covered by the insurance, and of course it was not. So I send an email to United Pet Care to cancel my insurance and I receive a voicemail from Doris. This lady was beyond rude and all she did was condemn me for not going to another vet in "their" network and it was "my" choice not to follow their rules. If I would have followed their rules to another vet that they recommended, who knows where I would be. I stayed with them for 10 years out of convenience and probably should have cancelled it years ago as I didn't use it very much. My suggestion, check out ASPCA Pet Health Insurance and if you have United Pet Care and try to cancel it, good luck. You will probably get a call from Doris and I can assure you it will not be pleasant.
