  • I'd say we are slightly above average flyers for a family with a small child, and most of the time, we fly Southwest. We've always had good luck with Southwest, and because we always do Early Bird check in, we never have to worry about getting seats together. If you wait to check in until right before the flight leaves, don't complain about where you have to sit. It's easy. The Early Bird Check In is the way to go, if you're concerned about sitting with someone else, and it's totally worth the extra fee (something like $12-$25). Our last trip had very friendly flight attendants and an excellent pilot. Our flight got really hairy over the Rocky mountains that cause a lot of screaming, sick people, injured people, drinks and electronics flying everywhere... It was concerning. However, our pilot knew what he was doing and maneuvered us into safety. I've flown with other airlines before and have had some concerns or complaints. While, I've not flown enough to have used all of the big name airlines, I feel good saying that I do like to fly Southwest; they always happen to be going where I need to go (without connecting), the prices are decent, and the crew are friendly.
