  • The worst experience ever with an optical place. I purchased a Groupon coupon for free eye exam and $250.00 off purchase of glasses. Dr. Yessnik should change his field to work in timeshare sales rather than Optical because he is a deceitful sales person with low integrity for customer care. Charging exorbitant fees for services and production of the glasses at least 40% higher than VisionWorks, JcPenny Optical, and several private opticals. The lens Dr. Yesnik apparently tried to sell me 'medical sound advice' to be the thinnest lens for my 1.74 prescription. However, anti-glare, anti-scratch, poly-carbonate, and three other things are needed for manufacturing the glasses.Hi-Index 1.74 lenses - The thinnest corrective lenses for prescription eyeglasses, Hi-Index 1.74 lenses. Plus that fact when I complained to the Dr., asking for clarification on several points relating to that, asking point blank questions,he was completely and totally evasion. Giving me the "salesman speech" and not attention to the patient's right to clarity and information! He called my prescription and these so call lens "special lens", as if it were an privilege for me to purchase it. He is a salesman. Patient care is the lowest priority. The benefits, questions about health or any substantial information is disregarded without cause. I had an eye exam which Dr. Yesnik (better known as the Yes man) who cheated by falsifying results or tampering with the output of the machine to provide "self serving" results. He raised my prescription unnecessarily so I would buy his fancy lens. The proof is when I cross referenced my current prescription from my trusted Ophthalmologist reading a significant variance between the two and concluding that 1.74 would be too high a prescription when I have no vision problems now, the higher prescription would cause my vision to change unnecessarily as well as develop headaches. Should this despicable behavior and level of care be my fault because I used a Groupon coupon covering $250.00 which would be the frame cost and not put a dent in the overcharged $324 price just for the lens. Furthermore, the office staff calls constantly to change appointments and re-book for another time. The reason was "new computer system" and the office would be closed over the weekend because of it. On the week of August 16th I got four calls confirming my appointment, then cancelling it, for this reason. Gullible in their speech, I agreed to reschedule, and when the following week I got the same mumbo jumbo liars, I blew my stack. Forcing them to commit to the appointment and complaining that "computer problems" are not my concern. The office must adhere to patient appointments. I came to my own conclusion since this excuse happened twice something fishy was up, hence forcing to keep the appointment. Groupon customers get the lower service standards for the same services because the office feels they have the right to swindle coupon customers and get away with it. I would be super cautious about businesses upholding integrity with Groupon offers, Yelp offers or any coupon offers. Beware future Groupon & Yelp consumers you will get the same service because the office feels they have the right to swindle coupon customers and get away with it. It is deplorable the service I received. I am posting on Yelp because I believe it receives more viewership than Groupon for reviews. Good Luck folks!
