  • I have been going to Ricky's Hair Fashion for 3 years now and I highly recommend this salon. I always call in advance. I think that during busy times you may have to wait about 30 min. Ricky's wife shampoos and Ricky cuts hair. I change up my hair color twice or 3 times a year and I always get a full-head permanent hair colour. I have a very long hair that reaches almost to my waist and he charges me $125 total (shampoo/hair cut and full-head colour package). I remember asking him one time how much are the basic prices and he said for colour: $80 and shampoo & hair cut is $20 for women. He charges me extra for my long hair, I guess. Ricky is greatly knowledgeable with hair colour, and it's so funny because I would always come into the salon with a specific Goldwell Topchic color code, and when I ask for his recommendation, he would always go with a totally different one, which I would definitely take because I trust him and he is the expert. I always take his hair colour suggestion and it has never disappointed me. It actually ends up looking absolutely perfect on me! He knows his stuff! He knows what colour would go well with my naturally straight long black Asian hair. Their service is good. I like how in the end he would praise every aspect of my natural hair and also my new hair color. He would always bring out this large mirror to show how the back of my hair looks like, and would always go "the back of your hair looks beautiful! the hair color is very even! the hair color is very nice and stunning!" I always respond with "thank you! you did a very good job! I really like it" [Well he always does a good job and I can't thank him enough all the time] I like how I always get VIP treatment and I always feel pampered in the salon. Him and his other clients speak Cantonese, and since I don't speak the language, I really have no idea what everybody else is talking about in the salon, but really I don't mind. Him and his wife are able to talk to me in English anwyays, though not as often /long conversations as others, but there really is no issue here as far as that. In the end I get the fabolous hair colour that I want. So yes I would keep coming back! I am very comfortable and I trust his hair colour advice. I get an awesome hair at the end of the appointment and I always get an amazing service as well.
