SIX STARS!!!!!! SIX STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dark, leather trimmed decor definitely give the Parlour an old fashioned smoking room old school Vegas kinda feel. Love love love. Drinks aren't extraordinarily expensive, but don't expect them to be super cheap either.
So what's with the illustrious six star rating I've given?
+1 for the Elvis impersonator, whose name unfortunately escapes me at present but he was INCREDIBLE.
+1 for Elvis' groupies, a.k.a. his wife and their enthusiastic and awesome friends taking up the front tables!
+1 for the 92-year-old lady sitting in the booth next to us, so vivacious, so full of life, and so mad when we didn't want to dance with her...
+1 for the decent prices (thank you Jameson for helping my cough) and for not fully enforcing the two drink min per person...
+1 for the bartenders and servers still in old style Vegas gear... truly a throwback to the glory days.
+1 for being in the El Cortez. I half expected the Rat Pack to stroll on by and take a gander at the wild scene in the bar......
