  • My 5 y/o so enjoys going to class and learning new 'moves'. The instructor (Palhacada) truly enjoys what he's doing & it shows. His enthusiasm is infectious! He makes his students laugh & 'play' Capoeira. The kids have no idea they're learning to dance, do acrobatics, speak & sing in Portuguese. They think they're just having fun. Parents are encouraged to watch class, help out & 'cheer' on the students. That's the other thing. The parents cheer for ALL of the kids, not just their own. There is a true sense of community. It's amazing! More than the art itself, the instructor promotes self esteem, responsibility & good judgement in his students. Who does that!?!?!! Love the program. Love the instructor. Love the art. If you're looking for something new for your kids to try that will be a positive experience, try this.
