| - ** DROP IN REVIEW**
Note -- I LOVE my CrossFit box at home... so when it comes to selecting a box to drop in when I'm out of town, I'm very very picky! Coaches, facilities, equipment, WoDs, community, parking -- all this plays a factor because we can simply just resort to doing a workout at the hotel gym for free right?!
Dropped in for the noon class on Saturday but turns out they are in ownership transition and a noon class was not scheduled on this particular day. Josh, one of the new owners & certified coach there, insisted for us to workout since he was going to stay for a bit anyways (I think he was being genuine and accommodating in staying - definitely could've said come back Monday). We all ended up doing "DT" -- Josh joined too for an extra push and motivation.
Liked the welcome, people and the set up of the box that we came back Monday morning for the AM class (death by thrusters with pull-ups followed by 5 mins of straight rowing?! -- what were we thinking... maybe it had to do with the Browns losing the day before). We were digging the new t-shirt/hoodie/long sleeve design they were taking orders for and offered to ship it to us in DC -- can't wait to receive it!
CrossFit CLE gets 5 stars for these reasons --
- Excellent coaching with emphasis on form! You don't want to get injured right?!
- CLEAN box with plenty of space
- A lot of rowers, GHDs, plates, jump rope, barbells, med balls, kettlebells, rig space
- A separate OLY spot with blocks
- Lots of barbells to choose from :)
- Shower rooms were clean and plentiful
- Plenty of parking on the side of the building
- Community is very friendly and encouraging
- WoDs were challenging AND fun; I believe they have a good program planned
Drop by CrossFit CLE if you're in town for a good sweat - you won't regret it :)
