  • Love The Cultural's Elite! I was so happy when I found this salon, and most importantly, Sanoma, when I moved to Pittsburgh. I am not a diva or high maintenance by any means, but I am very, very particular about who I let cut my hair because I have had such bad experiences with stylists who don't know how to cut Asian hair nicely. Sanoma has been AMAZING and I've seen her more times in the last 10 months (since I first moved to Pittsburgh) than I used to see my old stylist in Boston over a period of 2 years. Sanoma is so sweet, upbeat, and positive and always sharing her cool travel stories or taking about cool hobbies, like how she is learning Korean. She is so down to earth, and never pressures you into buying ridiculously expensive products from the salon and will give recommendations on good quality (and affordable!) products that you can buy from your everyday retail store. Knowing that I am going to be moving away from Pittsburgh in 2 months, it sucks knowing that a stylist like Sanoma is going to be impossible to find in another city. Am definitely going to be making a visit to The Cultural's Elite again during my last week in PGH, but am so grateful to have had Sanoma manage my crazy thick hair this past year :)
