This company came recommended by my realtor and I opted to use them based on that. When I arrived for the walk through I was professionally greeted however that's where the pleasantries end.
The inspector noted areas of mild concern and when pressed stated he did not fully access the attic due to hazards. As I climbed into the attic I saw the attic had been lined with plywood and was free of any real hazards. The inspector had simply declined to really explore the space and inspect the added living space in the garage.
The water treatment was additionally not tested and it was "unknown" if the kitchen had GFI outlets. I quizzed the inspector why this was unknown and he stated he could not find them but it was possible they were somewhere within the home.
At the end of a disappointing walk through the inspector said "there's nothing left but for you to pay me".
After moving into the house I immediately found the dishwasher was not operational, the garbage disposal and dishwasher were run off 3 cheap extension cords and the plug providing the power was improperly mounted and posed a real fire hazard.
Save your money and do not use Gold City Services.
**Update**
The house was re-inspected and I was written a check for repair costs. I submitted an estimate and was not challenged on the costs. I appreciate the fix however the estimate was based on me fixing the issues and I still had to do them.
The real damage was done with these not being caught and obtaining the house in a bidding war, while paying top dollar. Getting these results still sting and will for the next 30 years of the mortgage.
