I had a leisurely brunch here and enjoyed every minute.
I was greeted almost immediately as I perused the bakery case, and then sat down for an actual meal. I ordered coffee, the spicy eggplant special and a pumpkin cake.
My coffee was strong (necessary!), and while it took sort of a long time for the food to come out, I may be miscalculating the actual amount of time because I was alone and forced to listen to the couple beside me argue about her post-baby body. She wasn't even pregnant yet.
The eggplant dish was good, but not what I expected. It was a dry spice, no "sauce," but still tasty. The veggies were crisp and fresh. There was more than enough brown rice provided as well.
The best part of my meal was the warm pumpkin cake. VEGAN! It was delicious. Moist and not too sweet, with just the right amount of frosting instead of being overwhelmed by it. With the coffee, I could have stayed in that brunch limbo forever. I would love to go back!
