| - REVIEW ONLY OF TABLE GAMES/BLACKJACK
If you hit Fremont Street running, you'll ultimately make your way through the neon jungle to the end (on one side) which is The Plaza Hotel and Casino. We took brief refuge here, which proved to be beneficial. We picked up a couple of fresh adult beverages at discount prices and I won a C-note on an early model Quick Hit slot machine.
On the way out the front door, a blackjack dealer (Miss Vivian) locked eyes with us and shared a welcoming smile. In Vegas, you don't get a connection like that very often. Soon, we were playing hands (and winning) at Miss Vivian's table. Miss Vivian, who is a petite asian with a splash of ink, was totally cool. She was chatty and shared some playing tips. After we'd got a handfull of $5 chips, we cashed out and moved on. On my way back from the cashier, I gave Miss V a $20 tip.
The Plaza is a great place to take quick shelter from the neon storm and sea of humanity on Fremont Street. Also, if you like "twisted farm food," there's a Hash-House a go-go there (think fried chicken, with smoked bacon and waffles), which is open late.
