When I read that the best pad thai place downtown is in a food court in a sketchy plaza, I was skeptical. But after I tried it, I'm probably not going to any other place; the pad thai noodles were al dante and the sauce was had a great tamarind taste (whereas thai express' noodles are soggy and full of MSG). It's fairly fast and you can do take-out if you prefer the ambiance of your own home. If you don't like bean sprouts, you can ask them to leave it out and also, you can pick the level of spiciness. Tip: If you want to save some money, ask for a cup--they have a giant water cooler at the end of their counter.
