| - After my visit here yesterday AND today, I can say that I will not be going back. I am a regular at the Polish Room for my nails, but went somewhere else for a fill last week because I was doing a "spa" day with my mom down in Scottsdale. Flash forward to Thursday when I broke a nail and called Polish Room for a nail repair and polish change for Friday. I show up and get seated immediately and the nail tech starts filing the gel color off of my acrylic nails. It isn't until she goes to wrap my nails with foil that I stop her and say "oh, I am just needing a nail repair and polish change". She gets incredibly frustrated at the front desk because they told her I was getting my nails completely removed. With that information, she didn't just file the gel polish off my one hand, but filed all of the acrylic off too. I apologized for the misunderstanding, which wasn't my fault, and she said she would need to do a fill on my one hand because she filed it all off. She ended up making my one hand so thick with the acrylic powder and did not file it down at all. The polish was incredibly clumpy and she was just plain careless. I left the salon that day and called back a few hours later because my nails just looked absolutely terrible. I explained that I was just in a few hours ago and just wasn't happy with the service, so I made an appointment for Saturday at 2 to go back in and get them fixed. I walk in on Sat and get seated and quickly explain to a different nail tech what happened and she sees the terrible job done, along with the girl at the front desk who's response was "oh wow" when I show her. The nail tech fixed the botched nail
Job from the day before, and Ben the owner comes over and starts asking me where I had them filled last week because that is why they came out so clumpy. I explained that the nail tech yesterday filed off the entire acrylic nail base on my right hand and reapplied the acrylic powder but did not file it down at all, which resulted in an uneven base while my left hand was perfectly smoothed(from the other salon). I get up to leave and I was going to leave the nail tech a tip for fixing the mistake but the front desk girl goes "oh $10). I look at Ben because I was confused since I went back to due to the botched job one of his nail techs did, and he didn't say anything. I paid my $10 to fix his nail techs mistakes from the day before and left. I am appalled at the terrible customer service skills. If a customer is not happy with the service provided by your business and it is obvious that the work was bad, why would you CHARGE them to fix it? Terrible, just terrible.
