| - This place came recommended to us by friends who live in Vegas. It did not disappoint. The entrance is tucked away on the side of a building. But not what you would expect from a Mexican restaurant. Not decorated in what I would consider to be traditional Mexican decor, the restaurant was actually super rustic trendy inside. Weathered white, distressed woods, mismatched frames, but still cohesive and cute.
The food is superb too. They offer a chorizo sausage queso, so amazing. Their carne asada tacos, flavorful, tender meat. The staff was also very generous with chips and salsa.
Gabe, the bartender, was amazing. He was friendly, nice, and made easy conversation with our group. Exactly how a good bartender should be. And their selection was good, we (of course) stuck mostly to tequila....namely Don Julio. And they have a wooden swing at the bar. Think "swing from a big tree" type swing. It was fun for a few minutes.
The recommendation definitely paid off. If you are looking for friendly atmosphere and good food for a decent price away from the strip, I would here.
