Last year I was sold 2 PISTOLS here, same situation, without issue.
Today I rushed to pick up my AR lower before close. First thing, he says he hopes I have a CCW. I understood he wanted to close the store asap as he was packing things up, so I said no CCW and not happy he explained he had to do a background check now, he retrieved the paperwork and gave it to me with out instruction, "you know what to do, "no sir I don't" "how do you remember buying pistols here last year if you don't remember how to fill in the form" (rude comment about memory). I am a 20+yr army officer and never have I been treated like that when parting together a firearm.
We got down to business and he mentioned my AZDL had different address than residence. True I said (been wrong address since 199?). AZDL State allows a sticky note to be the correction for current residence in lieu of getting a new AZDL. He wouldn't listen and when I asked why now act like this when he sold the pistols to me last year same way. That's when he had me leave empty handed telling me he will send it back.
Reviews suggest he's liked. I can only say he didn't know I could be sold my firearm on the spot, so I got it at the gun show next day, yes with same AZDL..
AZ still allows the sticker address as current residence, but new method is just show (on phone) an address update by entering your address at link here (3 minutes).

No doubt these guys can get bitter when people lie to them but treating me with attitude as if I were lying about selling me pistols makes me sad I can't use that store anymore.
