  • Atomic Liquor - the oldest bar in Las Vegas. It was originally called Virginia's Cafe when it opened in 1945, but changed it's name to Atomic Liquor in 1952. At that time, there would often be advisories in the local newspaper notifying the public that later in the evening an atomic bomb would be tested in the desert. Regulars at the bar would drink on the rooftop and watch the mushrooms explode on the horizon, hence the name change to Atomic Liquor. Barbara Strisand, the Rat Pack and Hunter S. Thompson were regulars. 3$ for Busch beer.
