| - When I found out that Serendipity has a location in Vegas I was ecstatic because while in New York I didn't have time to try the original. It's always been a dream of mine to try Serendipity after seeing the movie One Fine Day with Michelle Phiefer and George Clooney!
Serendipity was one of our stops during aggressive lounging and we were looking forward to having something nice and cold after walking the strip. I was drawn to the patio as it looked so cute from afar. However, upon entering from the inside, I noticed that many tables were not cleared and had plates and melting IceCream left unattended. The line to sit inside was lengthy so we chose to sit at the bar on the patio.
I ordered the infamous Frozen Hot Chocolate and my guest ordered an Oreo Milk Shake. The milkshake was thick and malty! The frozen hot chocolate was everything I expected it to be and I didn't have an ounce of remorse after indulging in all of the whipped cream they topped it with!
On average, including tip, the bill was $30. Yes, Vegas Strip prices will get ya! The reason I give this review only 3 stars isn't bc of poor service or poor desserts, it's because of the lack of cleanliness. Sticky floors, sticky tables, sticky counter top. This place needed a deep clean! None the less glad I can finally cross off a frozen hot coco from my bucket list! If I ever come back and I want to splurge, I just might get the $1000 Golden Sundae that is served in golden mallet, sprinkled with edible gold, given a golden spoon, uses the rarest vanilla bean, given a scoop of Tahitian Vanilla Ice cream, and I really don't have to explain the rest! Lol!
