No one wants to start their day with bad coffee . . . Bad coffee is the surest way to make a bad impression on a customer. I arrived at MTO and was greeted with watered down coffee. I mean literally I drank hot water with a coffee color. No amount of cream and sugar can fix this.
Nonetheless, I waited patiently for my Made To Order chicken breakfast tacos. Chicken, egg, red and green peppers, onions, a hint of queso on corn tortillas (x3) with red and green sauce. The chicken was dry and bland. The eggs appear to have been browned as an omelette then chopped to fill the tacos. The peppers gave it a mild kick. The salsas didn't help much either. The salsa added a little acidity but no heat.
I'd like to say the service made it all worth it, but this day the front counter was staffed by two young kids who seemed flustered and disorganized. To their credit, they tried really hard. I don't see a reason to come back again. There are other options in Downtown Summerlin with a similar concept that do a better job providing a great dining experience.
