| - Tula West is a comfortable, laid back yoga studio that also has spa facilities. I've only been here for the yoga classes so I can't speak to the quality of the spa.
In a nutshell, as a yoga studio, the different classes and teachers offered by Tula vary in quality. Since I started coming here on and off for the past two years, I've noticed that there is a huge rotation of teachers, which makes it hard to get to know certain individual's teaching styles.
This also means that the teachers don't really adhere to the class descriptions. I've had "power flows" that are great because they provide vigorous workouts and others that are more akin to hatha classes; similarly, I've had hatha classes that provide a nice, slower pace, but also ones that are more akin to a power flow. Some consistency in this regard would be appreciated!
I've also noticed that the facilities don't get maintained as often. One of the shower rooms was out of order for awhile. When I returned two days ago, another shower room had broken down again. That said, though, there is always ample room inside the studio and they provide free shower/conditioner/soap, which is always a good perk.
Overall I'll keep going to Tula West. It's not the best yoga studio but it's by far not the worse.
