| - Only been here for the lunch buffet which has risen in price from $13 to $17 since I first went here. On the outside it looks really small and the buffet table looks tiny compared to other buffet restaurants but I think they cover all the basic Indian dishes and is fairly reasonably priced for downtown Toronto. Some of the dishes are: Chaat papri, butter chicken (a bit sweeter than what I am used to), palak paneer, samosas, pakora, aloo gobi, tandoori chicken, dal, lamb curry. As well as the usual rice, naan, salads and chutneys. Dessert options are more limited with usually just gulab jamun and a couple ice cream flavours but to be honest, I have usually stuffed myself too much at the buffet to be able to eat dessert.
It really depends what food you are looking for, with buffets you get quantity over quality and that is definitely the case here. But still if you order off the menu the food is basically the same to me, yes a little more fresh and more variety but in the end it's all pretty generic and what I would probably call "Indian fast food". Probably not the place if you want truly authentic Indian food but still good enough to satisfy a craving every once in a while for me.
