  • Nice little desert mesas and oasis park. The city did a good job putting in picnic tables, some wheelchair-navigable short trails, as well as signage, footbridge, benches and stairs. No shade (except for one picnic table area) so it gets damn hot in summer. Nice views from the top of the little mesa. Two issues which lowered my stars score: 1) recent storms have destroyed multiple trails. Not the city's fault of course but it does mean that there's fewer usable trails at present. 2) there's a lot of trash, broken glass, etc down in the "bowl" / green canyon park of the park. Needs a volunteers' trash pickup weekend to get the worse of it cleaned up. And maybe put up a few more permanent trash cans and a few signs with a "park hotline" number so visitors can report it when there's a drunk or unruly party happening here.
