Only only gets 3 stars for its view!
Also FYI, this is a moving restaurant, it's subtle but the platform still moves.
Let's start with the process on getting up to top of the world. First you have to go through a metal detector, something they started since 9/11. Then you get to the host stand, no place to stand to wait for your table. If there are tons of people waiting for their table or the elevators which there were, you feel like a sardine.
Service was only par. For being a $$$$ restaurant you would expect immaculate service.
I would say the same for food. My husband and I always share meals so we started with a wedge salad which is is favorite not mine. Presentation of the salad (picture added) was pretty but the dressing was not good and there was barely any toppings. I think they counted out the pieces of bacon they put on their salad, there was 5.
Portobello mushrooms app was not good either. It seemed as though the mushrooms and tomatoes should have been warm but they were in between temperatures so it was strange. Didn't know if it should be cold or hot app.
The filet comes with a red wine reduction on top and we opted to have that removed. Probably a bad item because the meat was dry and a bit tough. Something a filet medium rare should not be.
Yukon potatoes were creamy and I will say our dessert (picture added) was delicious. Mixing creme brûlée and cheesecake together was yummy.
I would recommend tourist or first timers here for the experience and view. Try something else besides steaks.
